Criminal charges have been filed against a female teacher at Holmes Junior High School in Northridge who was arrested for allegedly molesting a 15-year-old boy, the Los Angeles district attorney’s office reported.
Cynthia Lee Woolbright, 30, was arrested Oct. 27 and charged Nov. 2 with three counts each of oral copulation and molestation of the boy, Deputy Dist. Atty. Kenneth Freeman said. She is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Los Angeles Municipal Court.
Woolbright is free on $10,000 bail on the condition she have no contact with children, Freeman said.
Her attorney, Richard J. Schwab, would not comment on the case, saying that he received it only a few days ago and has not had a chance to review it in detail.
“I don’t want to prejudice anybody’s rights in this case,” he said. “Because there are a lot of allegations out there, a lot of innocent people’s reputations can be ruined.”
School officials could not be reached for comment.
