Seeking a Cure for Pharmacy Woes
Linda Roach Monroe’s article “New Rx for Pharmacies” (View, Nov. 7) brought back what is a very strong resentment to me.
For many years we used a local pharmacy, an establishment that is well thought of in the area--and with good reason. The two pharmacists are both fully qualified and exceedingly aware of the needs and requirements of their customers. They are helpful and go out of their way to assist in any way possible. . . .
So what am I objecting to? When my husband retired a few years ago, his insurance company insisted that we send our prescriptions to a discount place in Nevada. We could, of course, continue to use the pharmacy that we had used. But in that case, we would not be repaid!
Now it would be nice if you could tell me how this Nevada outlet could possibly provide the services to which your article refers.
