The Arab League postponed an emergency foreign ministers’ meeting set for Sunday in Tunis and is consulting Arab countries on a new date to discuss the Middle East peace process, a league spokesman said.

Arab diplomats said the meeting was postponed because only one minister, Tarik Aziz of Iraq, had arrived in Tunis in time.

“The date was not suitable for a large number of ministers. It could take place within two or three days,” one ambassador said.
