THE SIDELINES : Neb. Defeats UCLA in Volleyball

HONOLULU — Chris Hall had 13 kills as Nebraska defeated UCLA 15-13, 15-11, 15-6 Thursday night to advance to the championship match of the NCAA Division I women’s volleyball tournament.
Nebraska (29-3) will face Long Beach State, which defeated Texas-Arlington 15-6, 11-5, 15-10, 15-7 in the other semifinal match. Antoinette White had 21 kills and co-player of the year Tara Cross added 19 for Long Beach State (31-5).
UCLA ended its season with a 30-3 record.
