NEW YORK — Antonovich Inc., a fur retailer, said today it has filed for federal bankruptcy protection from creditors because of cash flow problems.
Antonovich, which has nine locations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, is to remain in operation while undergoing reorganization.
Fur sales industrywide have been hampered recently by intensive advertising and public relations efforts on the part of animal rights activists.
