Baseball Seasons Open With Three Scrimmages

Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine and Golden West College open the baseball season with scrimmages today.
Cal State Fullerton plays a San Francisco Giants minor-league team at 1 p.m. at Titan Field.
UC Irvine takes on its alumni, including Tom Baine, who is in the St. Louis Cardinal organization, also at 1 p.m. at Anteater Field.
Kevin Elster, New York Met shortstop, leads an alumni team against the current Rustler team at Golden West at noon. Admission is free at all three games.
