Landmark Bancorp: The La Habra-based parent company of Landmark Bank reported that net income for 1989 rose 41%, to $1.8 million from $1.3 million a year earlier. Net income for the fourth quarter declined 2%, to $436,000, which included a one-time charge to operations of $453,000 to accelerate depreciation on data processing equipment, and a reduction in income tax expense of $250,000, resulting from an accounting change. In 1988, the company recorded net income of $447,000 for the fourth quarter. Assets at the end of 1989 totaled $173.1 million, 17% higher than the $148.2 million reported at the end of 1988.
