Antelope Valley’s Briggs Ineligible

Forward Jabbar Briggs of the Antelope Valley High basketball team has been declared academically ineligible, according to Coach Skip Adams.
Briggs, a 6-foot-3 senior forward averaging 10 points and three assists, did not play Tuesday in the Antelopes’ 90-54 victory over Ridgecrest Burroughs. The win clinched the Golden League title for Antelope Valley (20-4, 8-1 in league play with one game left).
Briggs scored 14 points, including the winning basket with 23 seconds to play, in Friday’s 61-60 victory over Quartz Hill.
