OSAKA, Japan — Sherri Jackson of the University of Colorado fell in a relay race Monday and broke her left thigh bone.
Jackson, the leadoff runner, fell in the women’s 4x400-meter race in the Yomiuri-Chitose international indoor track and field meet.
She was taken to a hospital in Osaka, but it was not immediately clear whether she would need surgery, meet officials said.
The Colorado team, which also included Mattie Williams, Karol Daimon and Micky Brown, was disqualified.
