Fountain Valley 70, Perris 69--Fountain Valley rallied from a 13-point deficit in the third quarter at Perris. Derrick Corcoran scored 27 points to lead the Barons (12-13).
Corcoran gave Fountain Valley a 68-66 lead with a three-point field goal. Perris ended at 18-7.
Hawthorne 71, Santa Ana 55--Santa Ana lost despite a game-high 21 points from forward Chauncey Woolridge. Hawthorne (19-8) was led by guard Tremayne Gauthier’s 17 points. The Cougars trailed, 14-13, with 2:01 left in the first quarter, but scored seven consecutive baskets to take a 13-point lead with 6:03 left in the second quarter.
The Saints (10-14) got no closer than 10 the rest of the way.
Guard Octavio Medina scored 12 points on four three-point baskets and center Oscar Wilson added nine points.
