BRUSSELS — A bomb blast in a Brussels university lecture theater injured 48 medical students today, at least seven of them seriously, officials said.
It was the second bomb blast at a Brussels university in three months. Three people were hurt when a suitcase bomb packed with shotgun cartridges exploded in an auditorium at Brussels Free University in December.
About 100 students were attending a lecture at the medical faculty of the French-speaking Catholic University of Louvain on the outskirts of Brussels when today’s bomb exploded.
Police said no one claimed responsibility for the attack.
