Hail the Director
Since the pilot episode of “Miami Vice” aired in 1984, I have been very curious about the man who gave this show its original, explosive visual style.
However, in Steve Weinstein’s article on director Thomas Carter, (“From Hired Gun to Top Gun,” Feb. 11), the producer is the attention getter in television, not the director. And, until now, I knew nothing about Mr. Carter, but I could recognize his work immediately.
Thank you for your informative profile of one of Hollywood’s creative best. I wish Thomas Carter the best of luck with “Equal Justice.”
