New Grant Program: The Assn. of Performing Arts Presenters has received a two-year, $2-million grant from the Lila Wallace-Reader’s Digest Fund to begin a program providing financial support for artistic collaborations between American performing artists and colleges and universities. The Arts Partners Program will award up to seven project grants, ranging from $25,000 to $250,000, and planning grants of $1,000 to $4,000 for commissioning new work, reconstructing work out of the artists’ active repertory or presenting a retrospective of the artists’ work. All American two- and four-year educational institutions with professional presenting organizations are eligible. Deadline for the first round of grants is June 1.
