Malibu Project Draws New Suit: Atty. Gen. John Van de Kamp filed suit Wednesday in Superior Court against Los Angeles County and the Board of Supervisors to block construction of a country club in a Malibu canyon. Van de Kamp’s suit was filed the day after two similar suits challenging the project were filed by environmental groups and Malibu homeowners against the county, developer Sun Pacific Co. and the property’s owner, comedian Bob Hope.
