The Kickoff Classic between USC and Syracuse will be played on Friday, Aug. 31, game organizers said.
The schools had agreed last month to play in the eighth annual game, which traditionally opens the college football season at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. But this year’s game will come after the Disneyland Pigskin Classic between Tennessee and Colorado Aug. 26 in Anaheim.
