BREA : Car Strikes Man on Road, Killing Him

A La Habra man was killed late Saturday night when he was struck by a car as he tried to run across Lambert Road near Berry Street here, police said.
The victim, whose name was being withheld until relatives could be notified, died at the scene of the 10:47 p.m. accident, they said.
The driver of the car was not arrested or cited.
Lt. Tom Christian of the Police Department said the man ran across Lambert and into the path of the car, which was traveling west.
The driver was unable to swerve to avoid him, witnesses told police.
An investigation is continuing.
