Nation IN BRIEF : NATIONWIDE : Senate Candidates Raise $62 Million

Candidates in 1990 Senate races raised $62 million last year, topped by Sen. Phil Gramm (R-Tex.) who received nearly $6 million in contributions, Federal Election Commission statistics show. Three others raised more than $3 million: Sens. Bill Bradley (D-N.J.), $4.7 million; Rudy Boschwitz (R-Minn.), $3.6 million, and Paul Simon (D-Ill.), $3.3 million. Twenty-two people reported contributions of more than $1 million.
