Police Blame Arsonists for Taiwan Legislature Fire

TAIPEI, Taiwan — A fire broke out in the national legislature Friday and damaged several reception rooms. Police blamed activists who want Taiwan to drop its claim to be China’s legitimate government.
Police said the early morning blaze, which was put out in 15 minutes, started in one of the reception rooms and may have been caused by firebombs.
