GM Signs East German Deal: General Motors Corp. said it is entering into a venture with the East German manufacturer of the antiquated Wartburg. Adam Opel AG, the West German subsidiary of GM, signed an agreement with Automobilwerk Eisenach that the companies hope will result in production of 150,000 cars a year for marketing in East Germany, Opel said.
