P.M. BRIEFING : Mother Goose Toy Recalled

WASHINGTON — A North Carolina toy maker is recalling more than 40,000 musical crib mobiles that may pose a choking hazard to small children, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced today.
The toys affected by the voluntary recall are the Musical Mother Goose Mobile and Musical Carousel Crib Mobile, imported and distributed by Stahlwood Toy Manufacturing Co. Inc. of Youngsville, N.C. About 39,000 of the Mother Goose models and 3,700 of the carousel models have been sold nationwide since 1988, officials said.
