More Flights Canceled, Report Says: Canceled airline flights were reported to have increased 42% last year, stranding passengers on more than 41,000 domestic flights, the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press reported. It said federal figures show that USAir was the greatest offender by far, canceling nearly 16,000 flights. American was second with 10,000 and United was third with 9,200.
