A small fire in a classroom at Benjamin Franklin School in Altadena today was apparently started by a 6-year-old playing with matches in a closet, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
The fire engulfed a classroom filled with first-graders but was quickly extinguished. There were no injuries, officials said.
