Activist Extremes
We all have great empathy for wild animals that are painfully caught in traps, for any reason. However, the animal rights activists are becoming much too radical over the fur issue.
What right do they have to destroy personal property or ruin an industry, thereby taking the food out of the mouths of thousands of families who have been in the fur business for generations?
Is running people into bankruptcy humane? The breeding farms of most nations are run humanely and only animals such as the leopard, ocelot and lynx are among those on the endangered species list.
If these activists really want to protect our earth and environment, they should band together and put their time, energy and money into saving our bird life and, most important, our marine life. Our rivers, lakes and oceans are becoming cesspools!
The greed of mankind has killed numerous species of precious fish and ocean mammals. The damage is irreparable. Their near extinction enables only the wealthy to afford to dine on salmon, shell fish, etc., thereby denying the majority the privileges of a nutritious diet.
Come on guys, buzz off! Put your time and energy into something with a higher priority like oil spills that have set our wildlife back 70 years!
Or, even the homeless, for instance--they need your support more than the mink!
