The company said the turbine, the LM6000, will be the most efficient, simple-cycle gas turbine ever built, up to 30% more efficient than any turbine in its power range.
The turbine’s 56,560 horsepower will be able to produce more than 40 megawatts of power at 42.8% efficiency, when burning natural gas and injecting steam for pollution control, the company said.
