The Pedestrian: Maximilian Schell wrote, directed and produced this subtle, complex and terrifically, if quietly, exciting 1974 drama that deals with German war guilt. Gustav Rudolf Sellner (above) is a superb Everyman, a rich industrialist who may have ordered the massacre of a Greek village in reprisal for the murder of two soldiers. (Channel 7 Tuesday at 1:30 a.m.)
