Two members of Multicultural Women Writers, a nonprofit Irvine-based literary group, will take part in educational activities presented in conjunction with September’s Los Angeles Festival of the arts. Group founder Mitsuye Yamada and member Florinda Mintz will read their poems and discuss poetry as a learning resource for youth on July 5 in Los Angeles during one of four seminars for Los Angeles Unified School District teachers.
