Fluor Lands China Contracts: Fluor Daniel said that it has been awarded two contracts in China. One, valued at $24 million, is for engineering work at an automotive chemical plant. The other, of undisclosed value, is to provide consulting services for two pharmaceutical plants planned in Shanghai and the eastern Chinese city of Zibo. Irvine-based Fluor Corp., parent of Fluor Daniel, has done more than 50 projects in China since the 1970s.
