WORLD IN BRIEF : SRI LANKA : Rebels Take Camp, Kill 58 Soldiers

Tamil rebels overran a Sri Lankan army camp and killed 58 soldiers, military officials said. It was the first major victory for the insurgents since fighting resumed last month. The deaths raised to 2,300 the number of combatants killed in the monthlong fighting.
