CBS, NAACP Sign Accord: On the final night of the NAACP’s 81st annual convention in Los Angeles, the civil rights group and CBS Records, as expected, announced that they had reached a so-callled Fair Share agreement to promote greater economic opportunities for blacks. The pact, which covers employment, business development, marketing, production, philanthropic contributions and banking among other things, marks the first such agreement with a record company and the 51st such accord the NAACP has signed since 1982.
