Hycor Biomedical Inc.: The Garden Grove manufacturer of diagnostic products said its second-quarter net income declined 80% to $48,000 from $251,000 for the year-earlier period. Sales were up 4% to $2.4 million from $2.3 million. For the six-month period, net income dropped to $250,000 from $407,000 a year earlier.Sales rose 9% to nearly $5 million from $4.6 million. The company said it has incurred substantial promotional and marketing expenses in connection with a new line of on-site drug tests.
