‘View From the Library’--a Response

Who is Robert A. Jones? And what makes him such an expert on small towns such as Yorba Linda? I read and reread his column about our town and cannot believe he made such statements “as somewhere south of Pomona--amid mini-malls and soap-colored air.”
It sounds to me as though he doesn’t like Nixon and is taking it out on Yorba Linda.
Where does Jones live? I would like to go to his hometown for “a couple of hours” and give my opinion on it. But Mr. Jones, don’t move here--the horses and farm animals wouldn’t like it. You might get kicked in the rear. What a nice thought.
