Consumer Confidence Unchanged in July: The Conference Board reported that confidence in the nation’s economy among consumers was about the same in July as in June. Consumers were slightly more positive about present conditions than in June but a little less positive about their expectations for the months ahead. The conclusions were based on a monthly survey of 5,000 households nationwide conducted by the Board of Family Opinion Inc. in Toledo, Ohio. The Conference Board is a nonprofit business research organization.
