Health Care Decisions Leader to Speak

COSTA MESA — Ellen Severoni, president of California Health Decisions, will speak at 10:30 a.m. today at the Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church, 1259 Victoria St.
Her talk, entitled “Involving the Public in Health Care Decisions,” will present an overview of her educational, nonprofit organization, which she co-founded in 1985 to educate and involve the public in addressing legal, economic and ethical health care issues. Her talk also will address using the power of attorney for health care.
California Health Decisions has involved about 12,000 Californians in small group discussions, town hall meetings and forums, and coordinated health care parliaments in Sacramento.
