Sports View Wins at Longacres

RENTON, Wash. — Sports View, at 3-5 odds, romped to a 4 1/2-length victory in the $169,000 Longacres Derby for 3-year-olds Sunday.
Sports View, ridden by Alex Solis, covered the 1 3/16 distance in 1:57 3/5 ahead of Military Hawk.
Sports View earned $102,000 for the Derby victory and returned $3.60, $3.40 and $3.00.
The victory was the first appearance at Longacres by a runner trained by Wayne Lukas, perennially the nation’s thoroughbred training leader with stables all over the United States.
