Reward Offered in Boy’s Death

The Inglewood City Council on Tuesday set up a reward fund of $10,000 for information leading to the conviction of the killer of William J. Tillett, 11, who was abducted in May on his way home from school.
The fourth-grader at Bennett-Kew Elementary School was found dead behind a Hawthorne apartment building May 24, several hours after his parents reported to police that he had not returned home from school. An autopsy concluded that he was asphyxiated.
Police said they have leads in the case but have not made any arrests.
