Patricia Trenton, guest curator of the Laguna Art Museum exhibit “California Light: 1900-1930,” will lecture at the museum on Oct. 11 at 9 a.m. Trenton, who holds a doctorate in art history from UC Berkeley, will discuss the ways the nine artists in the show (which opens Oct. 12) were inspired by the quality of light and color in the California landscape. Admission: $4.50 general, $3.50 for students and seniors; a continental breakfast is included. The museum is at 307 Cliff Drive in Laguna Beach. Information: (714) 494-8971.
