Marketing Efforts Push Semco’s Profit Up 53%

Semco Instruments Inc., a Valencia producer of sensors and controls for the aerospace industry, said its profit in the first nine months of 1990 jumped 53% from a year earlier on a 52% gain in sales.
In the period ended Sept. 30, Semco’s net income climbed to $325,051 from $212,493 a year earlier, while its sales rose to $4.51 million from $2.97 million. Semco attributed the gains to stepped-up marketing efforts in recent years.
