Zimmerman to Miss Four Weeks
Rodney Zimmerman’s knee injury is not as serious as some close to the UCLA basketball program had feared, arthroscopic surgery revealed Friday.
Dr. Gerald Finerman, who performed the procedure at the UCLA Medical Center, said in a statement released by UCLA that he had removed a small area of scar tissue from Zimmerman’s right knee.
Finerman said that Zimmerman, a 6-foot-9 freshman from Colorado Springs, Colo., is suffering from tendinitis of the knee, which Finerman hopes will heal with rest.
Zimmerman is expected to be out of practice for about four weeks.
