Geoff Lear scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Pepperdine past the Sydney Kings of Australia, 77-69, in a basketball exhibition at Firestone Fieldhouse Friday night.
After Sydney pulled to 58-58 with 8:29 to play, the Waves scored eight consecutive points and pulled away.
