SHORT TAKES : Directors on Selleck’s Wish List
NEW YORK — Actor Tom Selleck, one of the stars of “Three Men And a Baby” and its soon to be released sequel, “Three Men And a Little Lady,” says he has a wish list of directors he would like to work with.
Selleck said in an interview to be broadcast Thursday on the television show “Personalities” that he wants to work with Woody Allen, Martin Scorcese, Barry Levinson, Sydney Pollack and Peter Weir.
But he said he hasn’t been approached by any of them.
“There are a lot of directors I’d like to work with that haven’t exactly rung my phone off the hook,” he said.
He says he would gladly play a small part for a chance to work with one of the directors.
“Some of the best roles are smaller roles and supporting roles,” Selleck says. “I’d play a waiter in a lot of movies.”
