A memorial Mass is scheduled Sunday in North Hollywood for Hugh McPhillips, a 1980 Emmy award winner for a guest appearance on “Days of Our Lives” and a former producer-director for NBC-TV in New York.

McPhillips, 70, of Los Angeles, died Oct. 31 in a Sherman Oaks hospital as the result of injuries suffered in an Aug. 22 automobile accident. The service is set for 6:15 p.m. Sunday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 10828 Moorpark St. in North Hollywood. Services were previously held in New York.
