Ferguson Tactics Criticized
Over the course of the 1990 election session, local congressional candidate Anita Ferguson gave the voters in our area many reasons to doubt her integrity. From her constant personal attacks on opponent Robert Lagomarsino to her use of endorsements which she did not truly have, her campaign tactics were questionable.
Usually, all this is buried and forgotten come election night, with winners and losers alike attempting to mend broken fences. But Ferguson still continued to attack Lagomarsino, saying she “will be in Lagomarsino’s face for the next two years.”
Whatever happened to good sportsmanship and kindness? Ferguson’s statements and actions are entirely unforgivable and must not be forgotten if, and when, she makes another attempt at public office. Now, more than ever, I am very pleased that I did not vote for her.
