Dick Clark Productions Shows 1st-Quarter Gain

Dick Clark Productions Inc., a Burbank-based producer of television shows and other entertainment, said it earned $133,000 in its fiscal first quarter that ended Sept. 30, up from $14,000 a year earlier.

The higher profit came despite an 8% decline in Dick Clark’s revenue, to $6.30 million from $6.86 million. The company attributed the earnings gain largely to fees earned in connection with the “American Music Awards Concert Series,” a show scheduled in Japan next spring.
