MISSION VIEJO : School Board Will Honor Gulf Forces
The Saddleback Valley school board has scheduled a special meeting today to pass a resolution honoring servicemen and women in the Persian Gulf.
“Our school district serves the El Toro Marine Base and a lot of our kids have relatives in the Persian Gulf, and we want to be sensitive to their feelings,” said Dr. Dore J. Gilbert, board president.
Gilbert said board could not wait until its December meeting to pass the resolution because “we don’t know when or if hostilities will break out.”
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. at the district’s offices, 25631 Diseno Drive.
