THE SIDELINES : Nuggets Sign 1st-Round Pick
From Times Wire Services
DENVER — After weeks of haggling, the Denver Nuggets signed first-round draft pick Terry Mills to a contract today, reportedly worth $1.35 million over two years.
Nuggets General Manager Bernie Bickerstaff, in announcing the deal, would not disclose any terms of the agreement, citing team policy.
A Nuggets spokesman said Mills would be in uniform when Denver plays the Lakers tonight at The Forum.
The Nuggets acquired the draft rights for Mills from the Milwaukee Bucks on Aug. 2 in exchange for Danny Schayes. The Bucks drafted Mills with the 16th pick in the NBA draft.
