Azusa : Teddy Bear Recycling
A teddy bear recycling program to help young victims of accidents and abuse has been launched by the Azusa Land Reclamation Co. and the Azusa Senior Citizens Center.
Donations of used stuffed animals can be dropped off at “Bear Barrels” at the reclamation company’s landfill, 1201 W. Gladstone Ave. Senior citizens will repair the toys, clean them and distribute them to paramedics and police, who will keep the toys in their vehicles to comfort children in distress.
