Beached: ABC’s critically acclaimed Vietnam War series “China Beach” has been placed on hiatus, the network announced Tuesday. However, a network spokesman said the series will remain in production and will return to the schedule later this season. An announcement about a replacement series is expected later this week. “The Company” which stars Anthony Denison and Linda Purl as CIA agents trying to strike a balance between their marriage and jobs, is a favorite to replace “China Beach.”
