Culture Clash: Frank Sinatra, who made teens swoon decades before the New Kids on the Block were born, is thinking about performing with the teen-age heartthrobs. According to the Boston Herald, New Kids business agent Bob Woolf said “a possible performance with Sinatra has been talked about” and could take place when he finishes his Diamond Jubilee world tour in New Jersey on Dec. 11, the eve of his 75th birthday. If the collaboration does come to pass, Sinatra’s granddaughter, Amanda, 13, can claim some of the credit. Sinatra reportedly asked Amanda, a rabid New Kids fan, what she’d like for Christmas and she suggested that he arrange for her to meet the group. “Sweetheart, I’ll go one better than that,” her grandfather told her. “How about I sing with them?”
