BE Avionics Inc.: The Santa Ana supplier of passenger-control units for in-flight entertainment systems reported first-quarter earnings of $940,000, compared to $157,000 for the corresponding quarter last year. Sales for the quarter ended Oct. 28 rose 22% to $6.1 million from $5 million. The company said the sales gain reflected the high level of new aircraft being put into service.
