FULLERTON : Council Votes to Annex Golf Course
- Share via
The City Council this week voted to annex the 59-acre Imperial Golf Course along the Fullerton-Brea border.
The Unocal-owned property, south of Imperial Highway and west of Kraemer Boulevard, is being considered for a 177-unit residential development. If the property had not been annexed, the developer would have faced problems trying to comply with two different municipal housing codes. In addition, different school districts, utility providers and city services could become confusing for future residents, officials said.
Brea and county officials must now approve the annexation before Fullerton can formally change its borders and claim the property.
